Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) exists to inspire people’s understanding that the history we share as a community is the foundation for our future together. Our purpose is to educate and to encourage the exploration, appreciation, and utilization of the past in order to add value throughout our community and bring the great stories of Onondaga County’s history to a worldwide audience. OHA is represented throughout the community in many ways. Our downtown Syracuse facility, at 321 Montgomery Street, includes OHA’s administrative offices, the Onondaga Historical Museum, the Richard and Carolyn Wright Research Center, and our flag-ship Gift Gallery museum store. Our Liverpool facilities, located in Onondaga Lake Park, include the Skä•noñh – Great Law of Peace Center, the St. Marie Among the Iroquois Mission Site Museum, and Skä•noñh Center Gift Gallery museum store.

The Moffatt-Ladd House & Garden is a historic house museum in downtown Portsmouth. The home was built in 1763 by John Moffatt for his son Samuel, who moved in with his new wife Sarah Catherine Moffatt in early 1764. The history of the site is rich with drama and intrigue. The garden is a stunning floral oasis in the midst of a bustling seaport, and is open for viewing from June through the middle of October.
