The Lake Placid-North Elba Historical Society is located in the historic train station of Lake Placid. Our mission is to preserve and present our community’s history in ways that are educational and enriching. We do this by offering three exhibition spaces in our museum which tells the story of an atypical Adirondack village and its roots.

The Cahoon Museum is a dynamic center for experiencing the visual arts. It is home to a collection of American art with historic breadth from the early 19th century to contemporary art and a special focus on regional art of the Northeast and Cape Cod. The museum celebrates the creative spirit of folk artists Ralph and Martha Cahoon through the preservation of their artwork and the 1782 historic building which served as their home and studio. The museum presents an ambitious schedule of original exhibitions each year. Special events, one-of-a kind programs, artist's talks and workshops, guest lectures and get-togethers add to your creative experience!

The Lewistown Art Center was established to provide opportunities for art education and appreciation to our Central Montana communities. Located in the heart of Lewistown's historic downtown district, this is the only art gallery and learning space of its kind for 100+ miles in any direction! We offer a full spectrum of youth and adult education programs in our "Hands On Art" classroom and clay studio, and regularly host community events celebrating regional arts and culture. The "Margie Wilkins Gallery" offers rotating exhibits of work by some Montana's most renowned artists. The public is invited to join us for monthly Artist Receptions. Come meet the artists in person while enjoying complimentary refreshments, and browse the LAC Gift Shop, featuring handmade work by over 150 regional artists and craftspeople.
