The Official Museum of the FDNY- The mission of the New York City Fire Museum is to collect, preserve and present the history and cultural heritage of the fire service of New York and to provide fire prevention and safety education to the public, especially children.
The Museum occupies a renovated 1904 Beaux-Arts triple bay firehouse originally built for Engine Company No. 30 and displays and preserves historical artifacts of the FDNY, considered one of world's most prominent collections of firefighting memorabilia.
