Inspiration drawn from Nantucket’s
physical and spiritual beauty is expressed
in every medium possible. The island offers
something special for all – an opportunity to
experience “art as a way of life,” an integral
daily experience like the air we breathe and
the clear light that surrounds us thirty miles
at sea.
The Nantucket Arts Council represents the
cultural arts on Nantucket and sponsors the
Nantucket Arts Festival each year in the fall.
Opportunities to enjoy the island arts’ scene
abound throughout the year, especially in
high season. In any given week, concerts,
lectures, exhibitions, plays, auctions and
classes are available to all.
Lectures by well-known authors presented
