LITERARY EVENT

T
he Cavalcade of Authors? I call it, “The Bootcamp
for Authors Who Know Nothing” and is one of
the biggest literary events around. No, I haven’t been
to any others outside of my hometown yet, but I’m
pretty sure there is none like it. This was my FIRST
major event of this magnitude, and I was a nervous
wreck. I was the only author from Delaware and the
first time that I presented myself and my books to
others. Not to mention, meeting some of the greatest
authors I’ve ever known. To tell you the truth, I was
a bit star-struck to meet Naleighna Kai, Brenda
Jackson, Beverly Jenkins, Lutishia Lovely, Renee
Daniel Flagler, Pat Simmons, Martha Kennerson and
all the authors, published and self-published in one
place with hundreds of readers. Hands down, this
