with Brenda Jackson and Rochelle Alers that the
roof could have caved in and I would have been
none the wiser. Like everyone else, I listened in
amazement as the authors stated how many novels
they had penned. When Christina stated the number
of novels she had written (if I remember it was
twenty plus at the time) there were a lot of wow’s
whispered throughout the room. Through her words, Christina wants readers to feel
her compassion for the human plight. From her
stories, readers peek into the mind of Christina
Jones through the words. The romance she delivers
has drama, love, pain, agony, overcoming chronic
illness, alcoholism, depression, PTSD, and other
real-life struggles. But no matter what the stage, she
commands and does it justice.
Thirty novels are quite the accomplishment for an
author who just became a full-time writer in 2014.
Prior to writing, Christina ran Visual Luxe Design
Studio. From her covers, I would have guessed that
design was truly her first love. She assured me that
for a long time she would have said, “Yes, it was”, but
honestly, writing has always been her first love. Readers walk away with an echo of understanding
and feeling “It’s not just me”, she gets it. Don’t merely
take my word on this, but experience Christina and
love in warm hues for yourself in this excerpt from
Fall in Love Again.
While she may have no formal training in design, she
has always been into creative expression and is self-
taught. This shines through as Christina’s designs all
spring forth from her own fountain of creative hues
rendering covers that speak before a reader cracks
the seal of the book. She doesn’t see this changing
anytime in-the-near future. This allows her to keep
a hand in the designs she loves, but because of her
growing longevity as a writer, she doesn’t have time
for anymore.
The pinnacle of most authors’ careers is winning an
award, becoming a best-seller, or reaching a certain
number of books published. However, for Christina,
the height of success is reaching a place where
nothing that she wants to do is out of reach. Also,
that she can teach others how to reach this same
level.
The natural storyteller lived and breathed inside
her early on, writing stories in notebooks and
passing them around for people to read. While she
may receive a lot of interesting reactions from the
number of books penned, it no longer surprises her.
The fact that she is doing this full-time is inspiring
to me because a lot of people want to be their
own boss but really don’t want to put in the hours
necessary to achieve that goal. She may not have
mastered a perfect work-to-leisurely life utopia,
but one could never tell by the appearance of her
creations.

“Anyway, I looked up, and you were there. I didn’t even
hear you come down or know how long you’d been
there, but the look on your face was like you were
hurt, and confused, and just …. out of it. You didn’t
say anything, just went back up to the apartment,
and a few minutes later… something told me to go
check on you. When I got up there…it was a mess. You
were in the kitchen, juice, and soda everywhere, and
while you were drinking, you kept saying “I’ll get him
back for you,” like you thought I was blaming you, or
something.”
