Here’s my review:
I’ve always been a romance fan, but Seducing
Abby Rhodes is almost like romance on steroids,
mixed a little paranormal, as well as romantic
suspense.
Abby Rhodes, a construction
worker/house flipper, feels at home with
being on a construction site and managing a
group of rough and ready contractors; but has
a few challenges when trying to maintain her
feminine side. She buys a house unaware that
a murder took place there in the past and that it
comes with its own baggage. While rehabbing
the place, she comes in contact with multi-
millionaire Jordan Gatewood, whose family has
ties to the house, but he hides his true identity
at first since people who have the Gatewood
name are not always well-received.
Not only do these two have a mutual attraction,
they are soon forced to see if a relationship
between people from opposite walks of life
will work. Additionally, they have to deal with
past spirits, one of which is Jordan’s father who
was killed in the house thirty years ago. Not to
mention Jordan’s manipulative mother who set
the tragic events in motion all those years ago;
as well Robin, a determined ex-girlfriend, who
is truly a piece of work. Mostly the story centers
around the dynamics of a rich man in love with
a hometown woman makes for a few obstacles
on its own.
I was ecstatic to read this novel, because I loved
