I
like to think that I take good care of my Vagina. I avoid soaps or
body washes that have irritating chemicals that could cause a major
imbalance. I might miss a few OB/GYN visits here and there. However,
for the most part, I take good care of her.
One day, I received a call from a friend on the east coast, and she
asked me to watch a video because she wanted also wanted to produce
a video of me teaching a Vision Board workshop. I was in and out of
consciousness when I heard this lady say, while displaying her vision
board, “I want to give a shot out to “The Womb Sauna” lady.”
“What is a womb sauna?” I asked myself. I literally sat up in my bed and
pulled out my laptop to begin an intense search for “The Womb Sauna”
lady.
I found Thema Azize Serwa on Facebook, took down the number from
her page and placed a call. We had a deep conversation and instantly
hit it off. She had the most amazing spirit, and she opened my mind to
a whole new world. I learned that the Womb Sauna experience offers a
life-changing, sacred expression of vaginal steaming.
What is womb steaming?
The concept of combining herbs and steam for medicinal use for the
vagina and reproductive system can be traced back centuries ago to
indigenous African, Mayan, Native American, Caribbean, and Asian
cultures. An example of the practice is when elder women of African
tribes would bury holes in the dirt, place barks and herbs in the hole,
