Fiction and Thriller/Suspense and Romantic Suspense. was the easiest to write and who has been your most difficult character? Shannan Harper: You touch briefly with bipolar disorder. Is that something you’ve experienced firsthand? Leslie Elle Wright: The Forbidden Man was the easiest. I was inspired. LOL. My most difficult character was Cali. She was trippin. Then Alina. I could hear her. Leslie Elle Wright: Yes. I have a family member who deals with it. It is awful at times. Christine Pauls: Now that you’re an author for Kensington, will you still be with Kimani? And, when will you be releasing new projects? Leslie Elle Wright: I’m doing both. My first Kimani book will come out Jan 2018. April Lachelle: If given the opportunity to rewrite any of the stories, which would you choose and why? Also is there a character or scene that you would remove? Leslie Elle Wright: As a writer, there is always something I’d like to change. But not the overall books. I would keep all the characters, but maybe I’d write Den’s story differently in All He Wants For Christmas. Shannan Harper: Is there an author you would like to do a collaboration with? Leslie Elle Wright: So many. Sheryl Lister is one. Shannan Harper: Would you ever go the independent route when releasing a novel? Leslie Elle Wright: I’m working on something now. Stay tuned. April Lachelle: Which book in the series Shannan Harper: Cali and Red both seem stubborn. I think that’s why they’re made for each other. Leslie Elle Wright: Exactly. Angela Lackey: What made you decide to write under a different name? Leslie Elle Wright: I worked at a Court and didn’t want my clients to find me. Lol Shannan Harper: Is there another minor character that you would like to see have their own story? Leslie Elle Wright: Dr. Love in His All Night is actually the heroine in my first Kimani book. Shannan Harper: Do you write in complete silence, or do you have some kind of background noise? Leslie Elle Wright: I have to have something in the background. Usually music. I do a soundtrack for each book. And each character has a theme song. Shannan Harper: Is there a subject in nonfiction you would like to tackle in the future? Leslie Elle Wright: Grief. My mother died in 2013. I’d love to publish a book about Naleighna Kai Literary Cafe Magazine July/August 2017   21
