dried up as well. I shelved it and picked it back up again
in early 2016. With the history and characters woven into
this story, I knew this was a must-tell story, and I had to
keep going until I held the pages in my hand.
My writing process may be a bit unorthodox. For me, I
start writing as the ideas come. There’s no real order. A
character pops up here and there, and I create them as
I see them and so it goes with them telling me who they
are and what they want. I process what’s been said and
create the scenes. Some of my characters play by the
rules, and others don’t. In my opinion, this aspect is what
brings the “sparkle”, an element of surprise that makes
the book not only entertaining by fun to read.
Over the years, I have gained quite a bit more knowledge
about writing, promoting and marketing. I’ve had some
wonderful experiences and met some great authors
along the way. I thank God for where I am now in my
life personally and from a literary standpoint. I’ve been
blessed with wonderful opportunities in my hometown
and look forward to attending more events in places
outside of Delaware.
What I’m most grateful for are the people God has put
in place where I can draw strength, friendship, positivity,
confidence, and encouragement. There are a few who
have become true friends that I can call on whenever the
arises whether it is literary or personal.
The experiences in my life which put me here, in this
place, at this very moment, are unforgettable and they
fuel my purpose. I’m not concerned about how far I go in
this business. My contentment is being able to touch as
many people as possible with my personal testimony and
the books I write.
Since I first picked up that pen a few years ago, time has
moved on, and I’m still writing. I’ve accepted the fact that
writing is one of my gifts.
