Africa with a Twist:
MV Media Publishing specializes in publishing bold
stories told by and for people of the African Diaspora.
From stories of ancient African heroism to mind-

stories you see are bodacious, full of imagination,
and action-packed. My personal favorite of their
many selections is their Steamfunk Anthology.
Besides the storytelling, which is superb, what
makes this anthology stand out is the wonderful
variety of stories encompassed in this book. From
an elderly woman who turns into a crime-fighting
spider at night, to a boy with a mechanical heart
who finds an unexpected kinship in the Serengeti,
each story is utterly unique and well worth the risk
of trying something new.
There are so many wonderful stories out there
featuring an expansive vision of Black people.
