Reader , LaCeasha Banks Turner : Was it hard for you to write Sukie and Lay ’ s characters ? I know you had to dig deep for that level of evil .
Lolita Files : The scary part is that I didn ’ t have to dig deep at all . They showed up fully formed , fully evil . The hardest part was taking dictation , if you will , writing the things they directed me to . I felt like an audience to their evil , chronicling it all .
NK : Lolita Files , believe it or not — Sukie . She was the most complex and she stayed true to form from day one . I generally am not into characters with that strand of evil , but I kept reading , hoping for a change , hoping for redemption , then praying that Karma would come kick that ass and pass out bandages .
Lolita Files : LMAO !!! Sukie was Sukie , all the way , no wavering . Heck , she scared me . I did whatever she told me to . Dotted every “ i ,” crossed every “ t .”
NK : Indeed . She ’ s the example of what happens when a woman has too much power and not enough God .

Lolita Files : Try “ sex . lies . murder . fame ” if you ’ re bad . It ’ s the book I ’ m most proud of after Child of God . I put my full literary foot in it , and by that I mean all the influences of every type of literature I love — plus pop culture references and influences — are in that book . It ’ s also being done as a film by Byron Allen ’ s Entertainment Studios . I adapted the script .
