NK: Will you ever go back to Liberia?
SDP: Yes, and I’m really very emotional about
this impending trip. My eldest daughter, who
celebrated her 21st birthday in Liberia and my
youngest son are going with me. We are planning
to join the 2020 mission trip with a group called
“Hands of Hope.” I need this time to prepare myself
and my children that the Liberia we left behind no
longer exists. It will be interesting to see how we
adapt to and hopefully appreciate the Liberia that
we find.
