Pat G ’ Orge-Walker : Yes . Most definitely .
NK : Shannan , just mentioned you were in the music business ? How did I miss that ? I know about your comedy performances . What was your career like in the music industry ? Do you still perform in that way as well ?
Pat G ’ Orge-Walker : I was once a part of a Doo Wop group called the Chantels . I ’ ve also sung with various other groups . I backed up several artists ; traveled with Wilson Picket , James Brown , etc . In my later career I worked promotion , marketing for Columbia , Epic , Def Jam , SnD gospel label and others . I also managed other artist . I gave R & B artist Joe , his first hit — I ’ m in Luv
NK : Seriously ?!!!! Talk about a little know fact . So you write music too ?
Pat G ’ Orge-Walker : And I write . I also wrote the title song for Sandra Reaves Phillips ( Lean on Me ). I still manage music publishing for several artists . I am truly enjoying this chat . It has encouraged me .

Pat G ’ Orge-Walker : I ’ m back to performing and writing . The loss of my husband really shook my world .
