Pat Simmons
Pat Simmons is hardworking, determined,
and a woman who knows how to make
things happen. She dropped a simple
hint in my ear that changed my life: “Sis,
RT Book Lovers Convention is in your
backyard. You cannot miss it.” Now,
there aren’t too many people who can
just give me a word and I’ll act on it—
spending a couple of grand to participate
and promote just because she said “it’s
important”. She was right. I’ve been
going to RT ever since and was asked to
be on their publicity team after my first
year there, and ended up with a spot on ABC’s Nightline reading from my novel, Was
it Good For You Too?
What I can say about this woman that she promotes others before she promotes herself
and her selfless and tireless acts in this regard has warmed my heart and the hearts
of others. She writes Christian Fiction—hands down—and nothing else. This is her
ministry and she won’t “tone it down” or “take some of the Jesus out of the writing” in
order to make others feel comfortable. Who she is shows on the pages of the worlds
and issues she creates within the books that have landed on the bestseller’s lists.
There are many authors who write to please the readers. Pat Simmons writes to
please the Lord God who she loves with all her heart, mind and soul.
