How do we define 'Organic'
“
The Nākd brand is a celebration of
what I learned as a child and continue
to refine each day - a love for the land.
Organic agriculture is becoming more popular because consumers are
demanding healthful and environmentally-friendly food. This shift in
consumer behaviour is good news, unfortunately, there is no organic
certification available in Trinidad and Tobago, that didn’t stop us
though.
At our, Nākd farmacy, we follow organic farming procedures and
principles using methods that will sustain the farm’s productivity for
generations: biodiversity, ecological balance, sustainability, natural
plant fertilisation, natural pest management, making our own mulch
and soil integrity. So whenever a certification becomes available,
we'll be ready.
