Perspectives
Q4 2019
This has been a year of expansion for NAILBA both with membership, as well as support to
the insurance and financial service profession. Through NAILBA.org and new digital platforms,
the NAILBA association has grown its digital footprint, now reaching over 200,000 brokers
and advisors every month with business updates, market resources, informative articles, and
educational discussions.
As NAILBA’s Chair for this year, I have been proud to be a part of this unprecedent growth. I
encourage you and your teams to utilize all NAILBA’s services and tools, as well as get involved
in NAILBA through all our digital outreach, including:
Advocacy Action Center – partnering with other industry associations, NAILBA identifies
and promotes local, regional, and national advocacy issues affecting the industry.
Brokerage Group Directory – NAILBA has created marketing and study groups within
the brokerage community to help promote innovation and integrity in the distribution
of insurance products to the brokerage market.
Brokerage in Motion – podcast discussions with industry executives about current issues
and business trends impacting the market today. Live Podcast events will be occurring at
NAILBA 38.
Career Center – powered by YM Careers, the center offers employers hiring support,
including a bank of candidates, while providing search tools and career resources to
make great hiring/employment connections.
Carrier Announcements – a one-stop source for important news and updates from
insurance carriers and financial institutions for brokerage professionals, agencies,
and advisors.
The Independent – a digital newsletter with helpful content to support the growth of
the independent distribution market. As a free resource to the industry, The Independent
reaches over 200,000 industry professionals each month.
NAILBA Network – is a virtual gathering place for industry professionals to network and
discuss news, business trends, as well as seek out advice from peers across the country.
NAILBA Now – a digital newsletter for NAILBA members, the twice a month newsletter
offers insightful commentary on the industry, news within NAILBA, and resources for
supporting business growth.
NAILBA University – partnering with LOMA and the American College of Financial
Services, NAILBA offers an educational curriculum focused on meeting the needs of
members with industry-relevant continuing education courses and training programs.
Playback NAILBA – is a live streaming platform of educational sessions and events within
NAILBA’s annual meetings. Connecting via desktop, laptop, mobile device, or car, the
online service provides access to powerful content for your entire staff.
Webinars – presented by topic experts, the webinars are live recordings available
on-demand for NAILBA members on a variety of relevant industry-specific topics.
Also, an integral part of our digital expansion has been this magazine. Now available to all
industry professionals, Perspectives magazine is written by industry experts and seasoned
journalists, dedicated to providing valuable industry information, resources and best practices.
With this issue being the last issue for 2019, we look to next year for continued expansion of
NAILBA’s involvement and support for the insurance and financial services market.
This issue offers articles and ideas on ways for you to expand your marketing and sales
efforts which compliments the discussions, workshops, exhibits, and networking we hope you
enjoy at NAILBA 38.
