Curious as to what these leaders felt might be the next big thing in technology in their respective spaces , I asked them to share a little bit about the next significant technology step for their organization .
Hoesly ’ s efforts are centering on upgrading to protect from encroaching competitors . “ Areas of our business are vulnerable to innovation from an outside player ,” she said . “ Financial services legacy systems are so outdated and unwieldy that a technology-led player could disrupt our current world . We believe our next big step is to position ourselves to be aware of and receptive to new disruptive players and options , while still filling our advocacy role in protecting and guiding our clients .”
Ruplinger stated data is key . “ We see a big step for us in data modeling and machine learning . We are leveraging historical data to drive a better experience for our advisors and clients .”
Beals believes technology is an important part of continuous improvement . “ The concept of ‘ continuous improvement ’ is a mantra that has been around at MassMutual for years ,”
“ Since people are working remotely , why not have virtual events for client appreciation ? Staying in touch with our clients is important , and we want to make sure we are doing it in the way they are most comfortable .”

she said . “ The utilization of technology is a proof point in our journey of meeting customer expectations where they are today , improving that experience , and helping us reach more customers who are either uninsured or underinsured and can benefit from what we have to offer . I foresee us continuing on our learning path and expanding use of technology to help us on this journey .”
Brotherton has his eye on marketing improvements . “ The next big step for my company regarding technology is better implementing a robust marketing strategy for bringing in new clients ,” he said . “ We are also expanding our use of technology
