NAILBA Perspectives 2021 Q3 | Page 13

We are at a place now where technology has advanced enough to allow us to truly simplify a very complex industry .
Doug Massey
Rob Carney : We are improving how we communicate and train people to use the tools , through multiple methods , starting with good application design that is intuitive and clean with intelligent , integrated , and interactive approaches to help guide users through the processes . This is supplemented with short “ how do I do that ” video tutorials , in addition to longer webinar training sessions , and step-by-step how-to guides , and it is all supported by email and social media messaging to drive interest .
Of course , the human touch delivered by our teammates — more often through virtual platforms like Webex , and empowered through the action-oriented work flows and analytics of back office and customer relationship management platforms — is a key differentiator in how we use technology differently now .
Kurt Fasen : We too are using technology to keep our team connected to each other and to our advisors and carriers . By using platforms like Microsoft Teams we are able to have personal connections and share documents quickly and easily .
Call it whatever you want , silver lining , blessing in disguise , COVID-19 has forced people to look at their P & L in a way they may never otherwise have , and make bold changes .
John Ziambras
By-product of technology
Bill Kauffman : Obviously communications are faster and more efficient . In addition , there is an element of security when the sender is using a program to send secure emails . The same is true of submitting business . It ’ s never been easier , faster and more efficient .
In addition , utilizing an eApp platform or drop ticket process allows the user to send their business directly to the carrier in good order . Eliminating NIGOs is good for the carrier , our organization and the producer . Less time is spent running down outstanding requirements and more time is devoted to issuing business and supporting our producers . Another by-product of electronic business is reporting . The information is available quickly and it is accurate .
Bryan Adams : Advancements in technology and data are streamlining and reshaping the insurance industry . At Integrity , we ’ ve long understood that technology had the potential to make the insurance experience simpler and better for everyone . By harnessing and investing in technology , we are improving the way we deliver solutions to Americans . It is our goal to serve more Americans how and where they prefer — whether inperson , online or over the phone .
For example , we ’ ve made significant improvements to our proprietary MedicareCENTER quoting and enrollment platform , making it easier and more intuitive to use and greatly enhancing its CRM functionality . We also recently acquired several industry businesses in quoting technology , data aggregation and analysis , and research for health and life insurance . And we ’ ve added three digitally enabled contact centers to provide consumers with more knowledge , choice , flexibility , and value .
Mike Smith : Normally , during the 4th quarter , we had to hire temporary employees to process paper applications . Plus , we had employees working seven days a week . However , during the 2020 4th quarter , we did not have to hire temporary employees and our regular staff did not work seven days a week .
