Sales for the second quarter of 2020 were $ 12,832 million , compared with sales of $ 19,698 million for the second quarter of 2019 . Second quarter indexed annuity sales were down nearly 22 % when compared to the previous quarter , and down nearly 35 % when compared to the same period last year .
