Resources & Facililties
K9 Cambodia operates the only Western
standard kennel facility in Cambodia.
Each dog in training has its own separate
ventilated kennel run with overhead
protection and elevated bed area. All
kennel runs have tile / cement flooring
and walls which facilitates proper
sanitation. All waste is removed from the
kennel runs via drainage systems and
water bowls are refreshed every 2 hours
by qualified kennel assistants. Visual
checks are also performed during the
2 hour water checks to ensure proper
health and behavior of the dog.
K9 Cambodia has the only man in
Cambodia that can achieve a high level
of dog training perfection. Mr. Mike
Dobbs, Former Staff Sergeant, US Army
K9 Specialist has a unique skill set,
unmatched experience within Cambodia
and a phenomenal service history
within the US Army K9 Division. We’re
so confident of his ability that we

also employs top of the line training
equipment supplied by Ray Allen K9
Supply (USA) who also supply the US
Military K9 Program.
During the Obedience Phase of
Training your dog will be exposed
to leather collar, choke chain (used
correctly), leashes of varying length,
muzzles, and toy/kongs. Also during
the Obedience Phase your dog will
negotiate the obstacle course for agility
and confidence. The Obstacle course
contains hurdles, cat-walk, tunnel, and
A-frame obstacles.
During the Protection Training Phase K9
Cambodia employs approved aggression
dog equipment supplied by Ray Allen K9
Supply (USA). All equipment has been
designed with the safety of not only the
Handler but the dog being trained.
While in training all dogs will be
evaluated by a qualified Veterinarian on
a regular basis with mandatory checks.
The veterinarian will dictate food type
and amount for every dog assigned to K9
Cambodia to ensure proper health and
welfare.
influenced by the expectation of reward,
the behavior will most likely be repeated,
and when those choices are influenced
by the anticipation of punishment, they
will most likely cease. Once the dog has
learned that its choices result in comfort
or discomfort it can be taught to make
the correct decisions.
Examples of unacceptable punishers
not employed by K9 Cambodia include
shocking, choking, pinning a dog down,
kicking, slapping or anything that hurts
or causes fear. Unacceptable reinforces
include releasing a choke on a chain
when the dog complies, stopping a shock
current when the dog returns. With these
examples the behavior being reinforced
is the one that happens when the dog
complies called negative reinforces. K9
Cambodia only employs acceptable
