To Table of Contents digital fabrication and biology . An Eco-futurist vision and style . From society ’ s perspective and the state of the environment , it is more than a new style . It is a call to action . I am promoting a cultural change that seeks to redefine luxury , fashion and the way we interact with objects and with the environment . I aim to create a consumers ’ experience that is sustainable over time .
I have created three lines on the WE GO FAR Collection :
BIO-FUTURE - An experimental line that is the result of co-creation with nature , biodegradable shoes made out of seaweed , natural crystal shoes that do not need glue but grow directly on the shoe , or a shoe growing from Mycelium fungi .
The second Line is ECO- FUTURE - This goes in line with values of Zero Waste and Up-Cycling as pillars of the chain production and ultimately upcycling which is about regenerating luxury leftovers .
Finally , the third line is named FUTURE , is one that considers local manufacturing and circular economy as a fundamental pillar , using digital fabrication , distributed design and block chain . Seven sneakers that have their unique processes , materials , shapes , textures , and colors . For example , the “ Crystal Walk ” is one of the outstanding pieces . A sneaker that is crystallized directly on the last , without adhesives or consumption of resources , but through over-mineralization that allows natural crystals to grow on the shoe , and the cool part is that you can even renew the crystals into the ocean . Among the other pieces . “ Food for Fish ” is a biodegradable shoe with an expiration date , designed to use for 365 days before its natural decomposition . It is designed to be dumped in the ocean to become fish food and fulfill a circular life cycle . “ Pucci ” is another biodegradable sneaker made from mycelium mushroom . I tested this growing material and realized fashion could be fungi . “ Vulcano ” is a Zero Waste sneaker , and its production process requires very little use of energy and time ( 5 minutes ), and seamless sewing lines . “ Luxe Reptile ” comes from an upcycling process . It re-invents and perfectly combines leather leftovers laser cut into an animal skin pattern ( out of a real python skin 3D scanned ) that gives an exotic print and beautiful texture to luxurious leather upcycled . The “ White Chameleon ” is a total 3D printed parametric sneaker with a detachable sole , also focused on high functionality . And finally , the “ Alligator ” is another addition to the ‘ upcycling ’ family of sustainable sneakers .
