INSPIRATION FOR CREATING SUSTAINABLE SHOES
In 2019 , 24.3 billion pairs of footwear were produced around the world . That is almost 3 shoes produced by each person . Of these , more than 60 % end up disposed of in the oceans . This is scary . How can we continue to enjoy fashion while helping our planet ? My concern led to research and immersion in the footwear industry . This was its birth .
My biggest inspiration is society and the planet . We need to reinvent ourselves and co-create with nature and ethics in order to survive . That is what regenerative design is all about .
I find inspiration in deconstructionism , geometries and bold strokes from influences , to create in the moment of the context , the narrative and environment I am in . I aim to regenerate methods , more than just design and give people experiences through my work . The environment is at its limit , and I feel a deep conviction of bringing forth a solid awareness of sustainability . There is a space for self-expression through fashion while honoring the ecosystem at the same time . I think it is like building bridges through sustainable design and beautiful aesthetics that not only fulfill function but show style and beauty .
