Eco-futuristic Designer
Felipe Fiallo is an innovative , provocative , and modernistic Latin American fashion designer , who combines biology , design , and advanced technology with a radical eco-futuristic vision and esthetic . He is a specialist in luxury accessories , footwear digital couture and human enhancement through creativity and coaching . As an advocate for sustainability and responsibility to the community , he has spoken at a TEDx , and collected numerous design awards in Latin America , Europe and Asia .
He was named an ambassador of “ our rural communities ” by the Heifer
Ecuador Foundation . As a result of his experience , he has combined Latin-American narratives with disruptive proposals to redefine luxury . He was named by Vogue Talents as one of the most representative emerging talents in the sustainable fashion , and one of the 5th sneaker trends for 2021 . Fiallo has designed projects for renowned brands and organizations such as United Nations , Stella McCartney and Adidas .
His work is currently on display at The Museum at FIT in New York and is now working as a men ´ s shoes and sneakers junior designer in Salvatore Ferragamo , Italy .
BACKGROUND
My curiosity in fashion was ignited with my first artwork design , a woven key chain , at the tender age of four . Since then , creativity and resourcefulness have been my go-to for any other creation . Originally from Ecuador , my designs have been influenced by its diversity , nature and surroundings . I recognized that my roots had the potential to influence the world of innovation . I grew up immersed in diverse cultural richness , which ignited my enthusiasm to work with local artisans and thus my close connection to Latin America and nature . On the other hand , seeing my father design his architectural sketches with great precision and harmony , and seeing my mother painting art work and decorating homes full of passion , I think they were important ingredients that inspired me and fed my imagination from a very young age .
