Gapwhiz was born out of Rebecca ’ s personal experience as a student and the challenges she faced accessing opportunities , especially international work and study opportunities . She is a Biochemistry graduate from the University of Oxford .
Rebecca enjoys travelling , and “ meaningful travel is one of the best ways to travel , as you build deeper connections with the places that you visit . It also has additional benefits , such as personal development and it boosts chances of getting a graduate job and future career progression ,” she said .
However , finding international work or study opportunities presented many challenges for her , and a lot of what she found did not fit well with a student budget .
Gapwhiz was therefore started to promote easy access to these opportunities for students ( both in their home country or abroad ), and to also make them financially accessible for every student .
Gapwhiz supports people seeking opportunities across a variety of industry areas .
They collaborate with different organisations and companies to provide work opportunities then post it ( and scholarships too ) in their newsletter ( which people can subscribe to on their

A big part of the Gapwhiz mission is to connect students and recent graduates with industry professionals so they can receive to support and guidance . To achieve this , they host free monthly Q & A sessions with a panel of industry professionals and collaborate with various youth organisations to host events and workshops on international work or study , CV workshops and more .
