I must say that I also loved coming up with the party themes and then creating the whole look . The biggest challenge was to find heels in size 45 on an island . Jarett : Why thank you my dear . Pepper is a full-on production of my fantasy , part comic book super heroine , part grand dame with a healthy dose of sex sprinkled at random , topped with sardonic wit .
Jarett : Time will tell for certain , but the door is wide open .
Jarett : The taboo is slowly being shed . People dare to talk more and stand up for themselves . I know that the LGBTQIA + community has changed and become more visible on Curaçao . I mean when I just started in drag it was just LGBT . That being said there is still a long way to go for both people inside and outside the LGBTQIA + spectrum to accept that people will have different preferences and will identify differently from you and I . And that is perfectly fine , because it has nothing to do with you unless you are the consenting adult sharing my bed .
Jarett : I have a feeling there will be . The how and the when will reveal itself in due time . However I have heard the voices of some of the younger generation and they are gearing up . Expect them to be loud and unapologetic .
Jarett : I often draw inspiration from traveling . When I unplug and let go of the daily routine is when the inspiration for costumes come rushing in . I can ’ t say that I have a favorite Caribbean queen but I did love watching Christina Sparks from St . Maarten performing “ Animal ”.
Jarett : I don ’ t spend much time mulling about what the future will bring , but I hope there will be a few more good years in high heels , throw some upholstery in the mix too and of course …. Travel !! I want to taste the flavors of the world again .
To Table of Contents lip-synch & dance . But COVID put a bobby-pin in that and for the past year I have been more focused on learning a trade : Upholstery . Yes , I have got skills ! … they ’ re multiplying !

Pepper is absolutely gorgeous . How long does it take you to go from Jarett to Pepper ?

Jarett : Why thank you my dear . Pepper is a full-on production of my fantasy , part comic book super heroine , part grand dame with a healthy dose of sex sprinkled at random , topped with sardonic wit .

My full-on transformation takes 3 hours . I like to take my time . The fastest time I ’ ve clocked in was at just a few minutes over an hour .
Any plans to move back to the Caribbean ?

Jarett : Time will tell for certain , but the door is wide open .

What are your thoughts on sexual diversity in the Caribbean ?
