The Dubai lifestyle : how will you describe it ?
Dubai is a little town that dared to dream the impossible – and made it happen . It is truly a realization of an amazing vision , and as a wedding planner in Dubai , there is so much inspiration around me . This inspiration comes in so many various forms shapes and colors , and most of all , through the diversity that surrounds us . Dubai is truly the ultimate multi-cultural city . Expats outnumber locals by 10 to 1 . It is an amazing mix of global cultures – with all their various customs and traditions . It makes the task of planning a wedding , first and foremost , a truly multicultural experience , and it pushes our creativity to the limits .
The Dubai lifestyle is unlike any other . I don ’ t think that it can be replicated anywhere else , and when I look back at how this amazing city has transformed in so many ways over the past 35 years , I am in awe . It is truly inspiring . It is a city with so many layers and has so much to offer . The thing that I love the most about Dubai is the harmony it has created amongst its population where so many different ethnicities , religions , nationalities , languages and cultures live in peace and love . It is an all-embracing city , and they have taken tolerance to a whole different level .
What are some of your must-see and do recommendations for visitors to Dubai ?
Beyond its glitzy and opulent skyline and cityscape , Dubai has so much depth in terms of culture , art and tradition .
I love the older parts of Dubai like Deira , Bur Dubai and Bastakiya including visits to the iconic spice and gold souks , so much nostalgia when I make it out there . The Dubai creek with its abras ( the small boats that ferry
people from one side of the creek to the other ) are a must see and do . Of course , there is also the beautiful desert and the many activities you can do there . The beauty of Dubai is that it offers many different facets and lifestyles from fabulous eateries , malls and hotels , to outdoor activities , culture and adventure . There is something for everyone .
Perhaps Dubai can best be described by what a friend of mine who came to visit said to me “ arriving to Dubai feels like you have arrived to Tomorrowland .”
