Why she chose Dubai to live and work I went to the Middle East to visit friends who were working with Etihad Airlines at the time . I first flew to Abu Dhabi then went over to Dubai for a few days ( just an hour drive ). I fell in love with the beauty of the country at first sight .
Dubai is a melting pot of different nationalities and cultures and is one of the most advanced , modern , and beautiful cities in the Middle East . No litter , no crime , just a beautiful oasis with endless opportunity and some of the best people on earth .
At the time , I was hosting my talk show OMG , Oh Miss Gegg , in Belize . I told my producer that I was leaving for a few months and “ might be back ”. Ten years later , I still reside in Dubai and consider it my home . I have met some of my closest friends here and have the utmost respect for the country and leaders .
Dubai lifestyle & social scene Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world , known for beautiful and modern architecture , a lively food , beverage and nightlife as well as luxury shopping . The city has an array of activities and iconic elements which make it appealing , exciting , and fun ; from Souqs to Adventure Parks , shopping , endless Staycations , beaches and desert activities . There is just so much to see and do . Every day is an adventure if you want it to be . Over this past Eid , I decided not to travel but to stay in the UAE . Every day , I visited a different resort and had a different experience . I went from Desert Palm , to the Palace , to Atlantis , to the W Hotel , to Habtoor Polo , to the Address . Every single day was a different experience - there is just so much to see , do !!
Some of the things she enjoys the most about
Dubai Even though I have been here for ten years , I still love the tourist attractions and activities . Bab Al Shams desert resort and Camel Riding is something I have always loved and do regularly .
Another favorite of mine , actually in Abu Dhabi , is the Emirates Park Resort and Zoo where you can interact and dine with giraffes and have lunch with leopards . I am a regular there and consider everyone at that resort as my extended family / It ’ s not to be missed .
And of course , the usual tourist attractions like the Burj Khalifa , Sky Diving , Dune
Bashing , Souq ’ s , visiting the dancing fountains , and all the shopping malls , because that ’ s always an experience .
Personal favourite place in Dubai , and some of her recommended mustdo ’ s One of my personal favorites is the Burj Al Arab , by the Jumeriah group , the iconic 7-star hotel with its restaurants and magnificent beaches .
Some of my other favorites also include the Burj Khalifa , the tallest tower in the world , which dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline , the Atmosphere Restaurant sits on the 123 floor and is a mustvisit for sundowners or dinner .
A visit to the Palm Jumeriah which is home to luxury hotels including the Atlantis , a resort with water parks as well as the Lost Chambers Aquarium and swimming with dolphins are at the top of my list .
Breakfast with Penguins at Ski Dubai at the Mall of the Emirates cannot be missed either .
I could go on and on , there is just so much to experience , see and do in Dubai which I regularly document on my Instagram and Facebook profiles .
