Visiting Little Bay always feels like a delightful adventure .
Favourite foods in Anguilla
It is hands down grilled crayfish , conch and johnny cakes . Conch can be served stewed , battered , in fritters or soup - it doesn ’ t matter . I am going to love it . There are always $ 5 or $ 7 crayfish specials at restaurants or grills , so I always take advantage of a good deal . You don ’ t have to look far to find good johnny cakes on the island . During the pandemic , I started making my own too .
An underrated beach
Crocus Bay .
da ’ Vida ’ s restaurant ( another of my fave restaurants ) has made this beach more popular for visitors . It is popular for locals as it is calm year-round and great for children . I love to sit on the wharf to enjoy the sunset . Crocus Hill is also the highest point in Anguilla at 213ft so many persons combine beach workouts with walking or running up and down the hill .

What is intrinsically Anguillian ?
Anguillians are naturally very friendly and open . When repeat visitors say they formed lifelong friendships with locals , they really did .
Another thing that is important to us is owning a piece of the rock . Land ownership and owning a house is something that is truly Anguillian .
Our beaches are all public and access to all 33 of our beaches is mandated . I think this is rare across the region and I know this is something I hope to see continued and protected .
