your meal will be delicious . Good food and good company in a relaxing , comfortable , and chic environment is my type of energy here in Anguilla . In the last few years , most restaurants and bars also have terrific live music from local acts such as Omari Banks , Mystic Vybz , 12th Avenue , awesome DJs and more . Eating out in Anguilla is always a great time .
Anguilla also has some amazing festivals throughout the year – Moonsplash Music Festival ( Reggae ) at the Dune Preserve , Festival Del Mar which is one of my favourites as I am an avid seafood lover , and the Anguilla Summer Festival which includes our national sport-
boat racing ( sail boats ), are the big ones . Our August Monday Beach Party and other private events - Eyes Wide Shut ( early morning party ) and Poker Run ( a race by speed boat on sea ) during this week are making a name for themselves across the region and attracting other islanders and international visitors looking for a good time .
I also enjoy exploring Anguilla ’ s coast by foot and hikes with the Anguilla National Trust is the way to do it . I have encountered some of the most gorgeous views off the beaten path on these hikes . My last hike was to Goat Cave . It was spectacular , and jumping into the plunge pool is a must .
Some of my favourite Anguillian experiences
Little Bay is a tiny , secluded cove close to Crocus Bay . It is only accessible by climbing down the side of a cliff with the use of an anchored rope or by water . I have climbed down the rope , kayaked in , and visited by boat . It is the perfect little gem for a romantic getaway or to snorkel , swim , scuba dive or just relax on the beach .
For adventure seekers , jumping off Pelican Rock ( big rock ) is also a must-do . The rock is located 150 feet from shore and persons jump from a height of 30ft into brilliantly azure waters below .
