BARBUDA is a pristine island in the Caribbean , untouched by commercial tourism . The people of Barbuda are a strong , close-knit community and , whether they live on the island or in the diaspora , Barbuda will always be home .
Barbudans work fastidiously to secure better services , resources and opportunities for their community . This pursuit has become more relevant after the passage of Hurricane Irma in 2017 which left abject devastation in its wake . One organization dedicated to revitalizing the island is the Be Foundation which “ works to restore and empower the community , strengthen services to meet the needs of Barbudans , build networks of opportunity , and transform lives .”

The Be Foundation undertakes a variety of projects on the island . Their Living Off Our Land Organic Farming Initiative ( below ) continues to bring both theoretical and practical support through organic farming to the community : Big Love Buda is a community-led initiative with a focus on tackling gender-based violence sponsored by the Caribbean Development Bank and delivered through a partnership with the Directorate of Gender Affairs Antigua and Barbuda . TBF continue to collaborate with local NGO ’ s BarbudaNGO , the Barbuda Relief Network and the Antigua Barbuda Red Cross , these and other on-going
projects are spearheaded by a group of
Trustees whose combined experience and resources are utilized unselfishly for the benefit of their homeland .
