To Aspiring Writers
With desire and motivation,
Delores believes anyone
can write. “Write down your
thoughts and sleep with
a notebook nearby” she
advises.
She believes it is important
to trust your inherent desire
to write. “We basically write,
scribble, notate every day of our
lives. Subconsciously we have all
authored books that we are not
aware of. It is simply a message
played out in words and action.
When we look at it this way
we are in fact recognizing that
everything we say and espouse
is an element of our book or
books. Some will chose to leave
their legacy in book form, which
is encouraging. The good news
is that ‘authorship’ is no longer
a novice idea but is within
reach of everyone with modern
technology playing a key role.”

What I love about Barbados
“In Barbados, everyone naturally engages with each other, it is spontaneous and natural. You
don’t have to know someone to interface. I love the natural hospitality - there is no shortage
of invites. I love being there at Christmas time. It is a valuable time to connect with friends and
family and take a break from the more hectic pace of North America. I love driving through the
country side and enjoying sumptuous food that is accessible throughout the island. I love eating
cou cou and flying fish (a most popular local dish), and drinking Sorrel - a beverage mainly
available at Christmas time. I love the pace of island life” ~ Delores
