Pigeon Island National Park
Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens
The lush greenery of these gardens, diverse flower assortment and impressive tropical plant life are,
on its own, a rewarding respite for any visitor. When the breathtaking Diamond Waterfalls with its
natural hot mineral springs, is added to the picture, this location becomes a must-see for everyone
who visits the island.
History, culture and nature’s beauty reside at Pigeon Island National Landmark, so designated in
1992. A causeway, built in 1972, connects Pigeon island to the mainland. The island, located off
St. Lucia’s northwest coast, has a rich history which includes the original inhabitants, the Caribs,
pirates and battles between the British and French for ownership of St. Lucia. Ruins indicative
of these battles still remain. Visitors to the 44 acre island are in for a treat of beautiful beaches,
restaurants with delectable local food, and history!
