Rendezvous Bay
Nestled within verdant cliffs, the only white sand beach on Montserrat will be found here, at
Rendezvous Bay. Hiking to this beach may be a bit arduous so many opt to get here by boat, and
the adventurous may choose to kayak, but whatever method you decide to use, this is a lovely
place to spend a few hours. Armed with a picnic basket and sunscreen, it can be a pleasant respite
after hours of bird-watching, exploration of the Buried City or hiking.
A tropical rainforest and home to numerous
birds including the island’s national bird, the
Oriole, Centre Hills is a popular hiking area,
especially frequented by visitors who are
avid bird-watchers. It is also home to reptiles,
amphibians and endemic plants. Hiking
here can be more than just a fun exercise - it
can also be an educational experience for
those who may be interested in exploring the
biodiversity of the forest area.
