Centre Hills places of interest Rendezvous Bay Nestled within verdant cliffs, the only white sand beach on Montserrat will be found here, at Rendezvous Bay. Hiking to this beach may be a bit arduous so many opt to get here by boat, and the adventurous may choose to kayak, but whatever method you decide to use, this is a lovely place to spend a few hours. Armed with a picnic basket and sunscreen, it can be a pleasant respite after hours of bird-watching, exploration of the Buried City or hiking. A tropical rainforest and home to numerous birds including the island’s national bird, the Oriole, Centre Hills is a popular hiking area, especially frequented by visitors who are avid bird-watchers. It is also home to reptiles, amphibians and endemic plants. Hiking here can be more than just a fun exercise - it can also be an educational experience for those who may be interested in exploring the biodiversity of the forest area.
