Stingray City Sandbar places of interest East End, Grand Cayman The eastern end of Grand Cayman is far more relaxed and slower paced than the sometimes hectic George Town with its visiting cruise ships. On this side of the island, visitors will find quiet beaches and the opportunity to sample some authentic island food when hunger pangs strike. One of the area’s attractions is a now defunct lighthouse whose ruins remain at the East End Lighthouse Park, which you will find at the top of 37 stone steps. Those who like history will enjoy reading the plaques on site during a quick visit. A stingray haven! North Sound, Grand Cayman, is where you’ll find an abundance of stingrays in the shallow water of the sandbanks. Attracting many tourists who journey here via various tours offered by local operators, these fascinating, docile sea creatures have charmed visitors for many years. It is easy to interact with them as they are used to humans and congregate around them without hesitation. This is certainly one of the things you must do when vacationing in the Cayman Islands. It is likely to be quite memorable! Photo Credit: Helena Guerra Photo Credit: Mark Narsanski
