Fort King George Fort King George was strategically built at the top of Scarborough Hill to give unrestricted view of Scarborough and the environs in the event of an impending enemy attack from the sea. On the grounds of this well-maintained fort, you will find an officer’s mess, belltank, barracks, gun powder room, punishment cells and a lighthouse - all reminders of bygone years. The pristine setting is a favourite of locals and visitors who come here to re-visit history but also to enjoy the well-manicured surroundings and the panoramic view. Today, the fort is the site of the Tobago Museum. Photo Credit: Nelson M.
