Photo Credit: Trinidad & Tobago Tourism Decelopment Company Narvina Swamp This protected forest reserve is located close to the Manzanilla Beach on Trinidad’s east coast and the Bush Bush Wildlife Sanctuary is within the swamp. The Sanctuary is home to over 200 species of birds and animals. Howler monkeys are a common sight as are parrots, butterflies, porcupines, alligators, anteaters, anacondas and other animals within the 24 sq. miles of wetland, marshes and swamp. Over 50 species of mammals call the Nariva Swamp home. It is the largest freshwater wetland in Trinidad and Tobago.
