UNDERGROUND MUSIC
Although Trinidad is known for its world famous calypso and soca there is also a strong, vibrant
underground music culture, a mix of rock ‘n roll, calypso and reggae which is very popular in
some of the local bars and clubs. If you want to get away from the incessant soca and calypso
beats, ask around at the local bars such as at Martin’s Piano Bar in Port of Spain. Someone will be
able to steer you towards the underground music locations.
