Faro de Los Morrillos
Cabo Rojo Lighthouse
Originally built by the Spanish in 1882 to assist ships to safely pass through the Mona Passage
which connects the Caribbean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean, this lighthouse is located on Puerto
Rico’s south west coast. Sitting atop a 200 foot limestone cliff, you can wander around on the
trails on the grounds of the lighthouse or head indoors and visit the small museum inside.
Admission to the lighthouse and grounds are free.
