Reggae music floating through the airwaves, its deep infectious beasts possibly spurring you
on to run a bit faster, or maybe a bit slower, because you feel the urge to stop and dance.
Reggae Marathon is a uniquely Jamaican event highly anticipated by local, regional and
international participants. Marathoners start their course at Long Bay Beach Park on Norman
Manley Boulevard, Negril at 5:15 am, then run through the town of Negril and on to the town
of Green Island, ending back at Long Bay Beach Park.
A popular Pasta Party precedes the Marathon the evening before the event and an “irie” beach
party and award ceremony brings everything to a close.
