Fort Frederick
Sitting at the top of Richmond Hill about 15 minutes away from the island’s capital, Fort
Frederick gives you a panoramic view of the city and beyond. The Fort’s construction was
initially started by the French in 1779 but was completed by the British in 1783. With a
guide, you will learn quite a bit about its tumultuous history. Without a guide, there isn’t
much to be gathered about this historical site but it really doesn’t matter, because the view
from this vantage point makes the trip well worth your while.
