Maria la Gorda
Located on the western tip of the island is the town of Maria la Gorda. Although there isn’t much in
the way of infrastructure for tourists, it still receives a large percentage of visitors. One of the main
attractions of the town is its ocean, which many consider the best diving spots on the island. With the
abundance of rich marine life in these waters, it is no wonder snorkeling as well as diving are both
very popular. The beach at Maria la Gorda is also considered to be one of the best in the Caribbean.
