Multi-talented,
Alexander Evans
Alexander Evans is just thirty years old but his many accomplishments belie his years. He
started playing music at age 16, which he considers to have been a relatively late start, but he
has since learned to play several string instruments, including: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Contrabass,
and a bit of Piano. Alexander also plays a variety of Percussion instruments, including: Drum Kit,
Timpani, Djembe, Congas, Glockenspiel, and his primary instrument, the Steel Pan.
He is the Founder and Director of the Pandemonium Steel Band in Belize City, Belize.
Currently, he is a final year student pursuing a BA in Musical Arts (Special) at the University of
the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad and Tobago. He is the first Belizean to
ever embark on this undertaking.
