PLACES OF INTEREST Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary Founded in 1990 as the world’s first Jaguar sanctuary, Cockscomb Basin is now thought to be home to at least 60 of the country’s 700 Jaguars. They are known for being hard to spot, so you may not see one on the trail, however the sanctuary is also a great place for spotting other wildlife including many different bi rds.
