With most of my work, there is no line between what I exhibit in the Caribbean or in Canada. For the most part, I think people are always interested in what goes on in other parts of the world which, of course, can be seen in art. Also so many people travel the world today or, if they don’t, see it on the internet or social media so are familiar with the ways of other peoples and their environments. As my theme is always colourful and upbeat it’s always of interest. Existing work with current and future exhibitions both in Barbados and Montreal, Canada can always be seen on my website as I am presently preparing for several exhibitions this coming Fall 2018 and Winter 2019. ” “In Barbados my work is greatly influenced by the myriad of things to do there in the beautiful sunshine. Who could not be influenced by being outside all the time in the endless beauty of colour, fun people dancing and socializing, being in and on the gorgeous emerald sea on a catamaran? Or being in a stately plantation home shown by the National Trust? Canada: “Misty Morning at the Lake” Or having a sumptuous meal in one of them at Lancaster Great House at ‘Dinner with John Chandler’? Or partying at Harbour Lights on the beach? Maureen P. Tracey, Artist. www.maureenptracey.artsites.ca Email: [email protected] Or showing my art at an outdoor exhibition at the February St. James Church Garden Party or at the Holetown Festival and having a rum at the same time?” ~ Maureen Tracey
