Montreal Caribbean Fashion Week is a showcase
of Caribbean and international designers. The
Caribbean fashion identity and industry, with
its rich aesthetics, colours and styles are all
highlighted during this week. This is a prime
fashion event, where you can meet fashion
models, business experts, sponsors and partners
while enjoying the food, music and culture of the
Caribbean.
Organized by the Playmas Montreal Cultural
Association, a non-profit organization formed
to promote Caribbean culture through different
events and festivals, the April 2017 event was
held at Montreal’s renowned Museum Grévin
with the theme, “Chaude Caribe” – Food and
Fashion.
Spearheaded by Gemma Raeburn and her
committee members, alongside celebrated
Fashion Impresario Richard Young of Trinidad and
Tobago and Montreal Choreographer Dale King,
Montrealers got the opportunity to celebrate the
culture, beauty and panache of the Caribbean.
