PLACES OF INTEREST in Bermuda

Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art
Located in the lush Botanical Gardens,
this art museum has 16,000 square feet in
which it displays 1,400 pieces of artwork,
inspired by Bermuda, in three galleries.
Although rotating exhibits show local
artists, permanent ones include works by
well-known artists such as Winslow Homer,
Albert Gleizes and Georgia O’Keeffe. There
is also a café and gift shop located in the
museum building.
Spittal Pond Nature
Reserve
Spittal Pond Nature Reserve is the
largest of Bermuda’s protected areas and
consists of wildlife-rich wetlands through
which there are numerous hiking trails.
The reserve stretches along Bermuda’s
southern shoreline with one winding trail
leading to a viewing site which provides
spectacular views of the island’s southern
coast. On the trail, more than 30 different
species of waterfowl may be spotted as
well as other wildlife.
