The Editor says . . .
T
his issue was completed with heavy hearts as we witnessed the devastation
of Hurricane Matthew throughout the Caribbean, most notably on Haiti,
the Bahamas and Cuba. A monumental task lies ahead for these islands, not
only to restore their lost infrastructure but the hearts broken by the loss of
loved ones may be left irreparably scarred. Our hearts go out to them. Let us assist in
whatever way we can. We urge those so moved to donate, however small, through one
of the many humanitarian organisations that are currently assisting the relief effort. On
page , we have reproduced a list of agencies originally published by The Huffington
Post. Let us help. “. . . Together we can do so much.”
We say thank you to Jamaica’s Tourism Office and its Minister of Tourism, Honourable
Edmund Bartlett for this issue’s cover story where Jamaica’s exciting tourism initiatives
