About St. Maarten now,
post 2017 hurricane
St. Maarten is open for business.
Hotels are reopening. Our
airport is progressing and our
harbour is filled every day with
more than 3 cruise ships during
the season. When you walk
around the Dutch side of the
island, you will be amazed that
we have had so much progress
since the Hurricane. The French
side is progressing more slowly
but it was hit harder than we
were.
About some MUST-DOs on
the island. Visit Rainforest
Adventures where you can go
down the Flying Dutchman.
Lavinia and her Carnival Corner collaborates with
carnival and event organizers in other Caribbean
islands to promote jouvert and parade troupes.
The aim is to encourage people to participate in
the carnivals of the other islands. This year, they
will be working alongside:
Blue Island Gems Events in St. Eustatius, to
promote their Jouvert and Parade Troupe
BAM by Roxxy in Anguilla to promote her Jouvert
Troupe.
Stay tuned for Carnival Corner’s own events on St.
Maarten.

Also, the newly opened Pelican
Peak or Loiterie Farm which is an
adventure on its own.
I would invite everyone to
come to St. Maarten not
just for Carnival but anytime
throughout the year.
