The Bottom . . .
The Bottom is the island’s largest town and also its capital. Cradled between the mountains,
it earned the original name De Botte, meaning the bowl. About 500 people live here which is
about one quarter of the island’s population. Like the rest of Saba, The Bottom resides within
a beautiful setting. Mere photos does not do it justice but it does give you a glimpse of the
captivating attributes of this story-book town.
Visit Saba and take a stroll through The Bottom at your leisure. You’ll find it delightfully
charming.
